Backhoe Transmission Operating Guidelines
1.Check the gear oil level with the engine idling at 800-1000 RPM. Ensure the oil is at normal operating temperature. The level must stay between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick.
2.Always follow the recommended maintenance schedule. Change the transmission oil regularly and also replace the filter on a regular basis.
3.Before starting the engine, confirm the control handle is in neutral. Then, release the parking brake fully before driving.
4.When parking, always place the shift handle in neutral. Use wheel blocks for safety before leaving the vehicle. For towing, do not exceed 10 km/h or 10 km in distance.
5.Typically, the normal operating oil temperature is 80-110°C. However, under heavy loads, it can briefly rise to 120°C.
6.Always operate the backhoe loader in low gear, because using high gear causes severe transmission damage.
7.When hoisting the transmission for service, always lift and lower it vertically. During reassembly, a technician must ensure the axial clearance is 0.3-1.0mm.
Changing Transmission Oil
1.The initial fill volume for the Shanmon ZL30Y gearbox is 17-21L.
2.Perform the first oil change after 100 work hours. Afterwards, change the oil every 1000 work hours or at least once a year.
3.Follow these steps for an oil change:
First, park the vehicle on level ground with the transmission warm.
Then, remove the drain plug and sealing ring to drain the old oil. Drain all oil from the gearbox, torque converter, and radiator.
Next, wipe the drain plug and housing seal clean. Reinstall the plug with a new sealing ring.
Finally, refill with new lubricant to the specified level.
Transmission Filter Maintenance
1.You must replace the filter element during the initial maintenance and every oil change.
2.Typically, inspect and service the filter regularly, and a full replacement is required every 500 hours.
3.Specifically, there are three filter types: the suction filter, return filter, and solenoid valve filter.
4. Please note that the filter element is for single use only. Also, do not reuse it, even after cleaning. Over time, the material ages and cannot restore its original filtering performance, which ultimately leads to an increase in pressure differential.
